Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji efektifitas penghimpunan zakat oleh Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS) provinsi Sulawesi Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data yang Penulis gunakan melalui penelitian kualitatif, dalam pengolahan dan analisa data Penulis menggunakan metode induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Zakat Profesi yang dihimpun oleh Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS) Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah belum begitu efektiv dan memiliki permasalah yang beragam. Ketidak efektivan penghimpunan zakat profesi yang dilakukan BAZNAS Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah disebabkan beberapa faktor berupa sosialisasi yang kurang maksimal, minimnya kesadaran masyarakat, minimnya biaya operasional, serta regulasi tentang zakat yang belum memiliki status hukum yang kuat sebagai dasar untuk memnghimpun zakat kepada masyarakat khususnya dalam hukum positif.
